Nicole Slaughter focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, construction law, product liability, professional malpractice, insurance defense and other complex litigation. Ms. Slaughter has represented businesses, individuals and governmental organizations throughout the Southeast for more than fourteen years, serving as lead counsel in numerous complex multi-party lawsuits in both state and federal courts. She represents clients in administrative claims with professional licensing boards and provides counsel on matters involving contract drafting, contract interpretation and liens.

Licensed to practice in the state courts of North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia, Ms. Slaughter is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Representative Experience

  • Represented architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, governmental organizations, building inspectors, land surveyors, real estate professionals and other business professionals in claims involving professional liability, construction defects, construction delays, job site accidents, fire damage and contract disputes.
  • Represented general contractors and subcontractors in connection with asserting liens and pursuing litigation to enforce liens.
  • Represented individual and business clients in personal injury claims arising from automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability claims, and other general tort actions.
